What a finale! Chris Harrison made sure to remind us that this was the most dramatic finale ever, but we would just like to point out a more significant milestone. At 5 hours, this was without a doubt the longest finale ever! We must say we enjoyed every second of it though; we laughed, we cringed, we cried, we yelled at the TV screen.
We truly never thought there would be another Mesnick scenario, so based on our scoring system you could argue that Lauren was not adequately rewarded for being the last woman standing. Becca received the final rose points, but both ladies were awarded proposal points because we indeed saw both proposals on TV.
There are LOTS of opinions out there on how the breakup with Becca should have been handled, whether Lauren should have taken Arie back, and why ABC thought it was a good idea to show the same man proposing to two different women in a 24 hour period. Our takeaway from this season is that Arie should have picked Lauren all along. We LOVE Becca, but Arie and Lauren both seem to have equally subdued personalities, and it was obvious that Arie’s feelings were deeper for Lauren since he dropped the L bomb weeks ago. Hopefully Arie and Lauren will live a long life of waking up with the sun, wearing cardigans, and drinking wine. The great news about this whole situation is that we get to do the damn thing with Becca next season!
The points are in! What is everyone using as the prize for their league? Leave us a comment and send us some ideas. Our league passes around this felt rose crown to the winner each season
I hope everyone enjoyed this season! Check back here for you Bachelorette fantasy leagues in May!
